I cannot believe that some Republicans are trying end government programs like HAMP that assist homeowners that are facing foreclosures. Budget cuts are needed but not at the expense of those who are hurting the most during the economic crisis.

Our office has seen the pain and suffering of many who are in this predictament. They should not be kicked when they are down. HAMP and many other programs have helped and given hope to many suffering homeowners.

We hope that these measures fall short.
